2 Units, GT POWER 6.5 KW Silent AC 120 Volt, and 240 Volt Generators SOLD AS IS For repair, or spare parts.
Genset 1: The engine starts and runs fine, but the generator puts out about 20 volts. Perhaps the Generator head needs work, or replacement.
Genset 2: The engine has not enough compression. I had a good diesel mechanic do a head gasket and valve job on it, but we think it needs a ring job. The rings are commonly available, and can be matched up. I cannot report on the Gen-head. It worked before the engine went down.
Electric Starting by key or remote. Both have keys with remotes.

I bought replacement parts; 2 voltage regulators which are installed, with RPM trimmers, 1 wireless remote set. 2 wireless transmitters. I had a starter shop rebuild these 2 starters at $70 each and they stronger now.
I bought three of these units, all 3 had problems. I got one to run fine. It needed a new battery, and a starter rebuild.
The seller, GT Power does not have a realistic 1 Year Guarantee. My guarantee was voided, because after poor telephone support, and no parts exchange, and no electrical schematic….I shouted at the owner! (Well, excuuuse me.)
But what kind of guarantee does he offer anyway, Be sure to read it top to bottom.
GT Power Sales Company is in Montreal, Canada. I was told to return the units to “Base Camp” for evaluation. (A round trip of at least $500 with Customs not known.) Don’t even replace a battery even if its defective. Paypal rules for the seller, that u modified the unit, so it is “Not as received”, returns or refunds strictly not allowed. There is a warehouse in Los Angeles but they only ship, they do not service the units.And they have no electrical schematics either. But I found guys who could troubleshoot them.
Shipping: Will deliver in Los Angeles County Free. we need to communicate ways of shipping, Motor Freight is good for these 2 items.

This is a heavy-duty Kohler generator that has been used only a couple of times. It spent most of its life in my father-in-laws garage on the bottom shelf of his workbench. We are now clearing out the place and it has to go. I think he used it twice, and it was full of dust when we discovered it. We blew it off, checked the oil, added gas, and it fired up on the third pull. It runs smooth without missing or smoking. It has four 120 volt three-prong outlets, and two circuit breakers. We plugged in a large shop vac and it powered it continuously, along with a skilsaw, so you can be assurred that it works and generates power. This is a super heavy-duty unit not to be confused with all the cheap junk on the market today.

Up for auction is a large Cornwell tool cabinet slightly used but in great condition. Cabinet is 66 inches wide by 71 inches tall. The box itself is 47 inches tall and the canopy is 24 inches tall which has a light and a power strip in it. The canopy also has pegboard style back and pegs for hanging. 12 drawers in all and are 24 inches deep. This box has lots of storage. I bought this about 3 and a half years ago and used it for about 6 months then changed occupations and has been sitting in garage collecting dust ever since.
