This unit powers your cell with 3.5v-4.8v of output power so that each individual plate or tube in your cell will get exactly half of the output. If voltage is required to "carry the current," lower voltage results in less loss of current through voltage and current leaks within a cell. All HHO cells leak current, most of them in large amounts. The purpose of this unit is to lower the amount of current that leaks, by lowering the transport method of the current (the voltage) to the optimal voltage at which a HHO cell best operates. The lower loss of current means more stable operating temperatures within the cell as there is not nearly as much heat being generated due to the fact that the cell is using what it is given rather than wasting energy heating the electrolyte needlessly. YOU WILL NOT NEED A PWM TO OPERATE YOUR CELL IF YOU ARE USING THIS UNIT. In fact, most pwm's are operating at 12-15v which does not solve the current leakage problem. A pulsing signal helps prevent overheating, but it does so by robbing the cell of current when pulsed off.
